A READY MARKET FOR 3D PRINTERS

It would break your heart if you loved New York City and it hurts like hell that anyone can still think of cities as anything but a wasteland lost to enemy action over the last 100 years. This is the announcement of the appointment of the lawyer as chief counsel to the next NYC Crime Family to occupy Gracie Mansion. I find it notable that the announcement of his appointment was conveyed with these words, "...defending those too often abandoned by our legal system."

But you and I know who is always abandoned by our legal system and it is always the victims of the crimes and the victims of the criminal class who literally get away with murder and walk away to commit another murder the next day. The cities and democrats only care about the perpetrators of violence and crime and nothing at all for the victims.

Any honest voter would wonder why they voted again for a man who is devoted to making sure that the criminals get away with murder....but not in New York City.

On the gripping hand, it's the outsiders who see the violence and use it as the measure of the worth of a place and the people who live there don't even notice it and they never have and that has been true since the first cities were founded.....except it's not true in Japan, or Korea, or Singapore or 99% of all those red towns and cities.

1. you're making a huge assumption that it was legitimate votes that put him in as mayor.
2. it should be realized that all New Yorkers with an above-room-temperature IQ and the ability to converse in English (although with a NY accent) left their beloved city many years ago:
2.a. to the 'burbs, which was a terrible mistake
2.b. to NJ, which was a bigger one
2.c. to CT, which was a huge error
2.d. to foreign climes: e.g. Florida - no income tax - Yeah!!!

@boron. And JPMorgan Chase already is building a huge office complex in Texas, and other Wall Street powerhouses are poised to move too! If Wall Street moves, its tax base moves, never to be retrieved.

I think the idea of NYC is getting more damaged than people know but then I simply never adopted any of the customs of TV watching that so many people I know engaged in. They loved them their TV and it didn't really have much impact on me. They watched all of those tv shows based in Manhattan and thought that they would love to live in that city, in that apartment and hang out with those guys and my neighbor in Berkeley packed up her jewelry business and walked away from a decade of providing to her local vendors in and around The City and headed to NYC because she thought what she saw on tv was real and replicable. On the other hand, my last year of high school was in Denville and Dover and Picatinny Arsenal and I visited NYC enough to know that I really didn't want any part of it. That of course was back when Abe Beame was mayor and the shitty was an absolute shithole. The thing that the democrats don't really understand is that 3rd world values cannot be papered over and once the trust and integrity is gone it is never coming back. The last generation of Americans that were raised in trust and integrity are now all passed retirement age and what we see in our cities (all of them) is the values we used to see in the 3rd world cities where everything boils down to tribalism, ethnicity and race. There is no longer the path of the civilized and enlightened person who acts decently and with integrity. It died long before DEI and all DEI did was animate a corpse for a little while longer until it fell apart.
