How many times have we heard a headline from somewhere and gone to search out the facts and using the old tools we deliberately skipped all “information” listed as coming from CBS, NYT, MSNBC, NPR, ABC etc and screened through the options until we found a headline that might provide more accurate information from, just for instance, The Financial Times or the Asia Times? It would be nice to be able to set my device to vanish all the old liars at the legacy media. On the other hand, just writing those words makes me feel like a liberal woke progressive kind of a guy. On the gripping hand, it’s Monday morning.Still, there is no positive return from saturating oneself in lies, deceit and deliberate obfuscation of the farce we still refer to as the news so I really miss the daily dose of Calvin and Hobbes and the Farside. How on earth do the youngsters get through a week without the levity and humor one used to get alongside the news?
