First it started a long time ago, accelerated during decolonialization and then just burped again a few years ago as French North Africa's colonies finally decided to try independence without the French and now the final European bastion in Africa is gone.
The way the folks on X are carrying on you would think it was the Moroccan invasion of al Andalus come again. Come on people, it is the collapse of the last vestige of European colonialism in Africa and long overdue. It is exactly what the governments of Morocco and Spain have wanted since 1960 and now it has been done.
Yes, it took them a while to find a willing scapegoat of a Prime Minister but the secret rulers of Spain have been tired of their North Africa outpost for generations and finally they can shed that blot and move on. Best of all, they get to use it all as a huge blow to the socialists and use it to rally the volk arou ..... wait a second. They get to kindle and incite a new "we're all Spanish here now" wave of popular government and throw all the Africans back to their former colonial territory where they obviously come from. No, gentle readers, the truth or untruth of political positions never bothers them or even rears its ugly head.
An invading army of unarmed young men did what centuries of warfare, neglect, decolonization, the UN, and worldwide approbation could not.
