In the olden days of yore, various chief minions of the Government and Military would appear before the various Congressional Committees to offer Testimony on their Departments and their weapon systems and were there to beg the Congress to be generous in all future funding for said things. Can you spot the difference between the people who appear in front of those Committees today who will sit there and rip the Senator or Congresswoman to pieces for being idiots and stupid and really dim-witted or noted truth dodgers?
That's right gentle readers, the people hand picked by President Trump don't give a Flying Fcuk about what Congress does with their Departmental Budget or to their weapon systems since they're so damned busy pruning out 69 years of pure waste and idiocy and won't miss a single dime cut by Congresscritters enraged at not being deferred to like the perfumed princes of old.
It really makes for some enjoyable youtube watching.

Is the National Debt getting reduced? No going UP rather quickly. Even the Credit Gurus of Moody and Co have downgraded our nation's debt for "unsustainable debt issues". The sale of MORE National Debt aka T-Bills last week was a failure as any buyer DEMANDED greater % rate (now 5% more or less) than the Treasury offered.
Soon the INTEREST Rate on our debt will be the BIGGEST Line Item on the national budget, surpassing Social Security and Defense combined.
The Bolsheviks-Democrats and their do-nothing RINOS (seems all of them sad to say) have driven Musk out of the DODGE effort, blocked numerous EO efforts with LAWFARE to "trim" waste and toss out illegals brought in for more democratic voters (giving them OUR Tax Dollars to live here).
Seems their "Rice Bowls" aka graft and corruption is far more important than serving "We the People" (aka Tax Cattle) by carefully spending our tax dollars on thing described IN the Constitution.
As Dan has labeled me "a low IQ Leftist Shill" for pointing out this inconvenient set of facts I am waiting for Dan our frequent poster here to SPEAK to the Facts with FACTS and grow up enough to apologize for kindergarten name calling.

I think we both know that short of the Revolution there is no changing what we have now. We will continue to spend into oblivion and you knew that going in as we watched the efforts of DOGE undermined at every single level but the killer was that "Musk was saving wasted money that WE WILL SPEND ON OUR STUFF AND PROJECTS". That cannot be eradicated without standing a lot of people up against a wall.
As I understand the relationship of Musk to DOGE, he went in as a Temp Special Employee and was only going to be there for a max of 120 days. He left when that contract terminated and not because he was driven out.
He gave us a very good look at the problem and we all know now and must accept that there is no way to change the fate of the USA. We will declare national insolvency, dishonor all our debts and then we will move on because unlike Haiti or Argentina, we are simply to large to fail. Everyone in the world is going to take a bath when that happens and the world economy will collapse until, like magic, the next World War lifts all the surviving countries out of the economic quagmire of despair and puts them back into the sun where they can once again gripe about something as idiotic as global warming.
One can HOPE "The Next World War" lifts all surviving countries out of the economic quagmire.
But I suggest that viewpoint kind of ignores the facts that America who was untouched by WW2 essentially rebuilt most of the "Free World" and that resurrection allowed the rest of the world to rebuild.
The limits of the current weapon systems kept the deep moats of our two oceans useful in preventing such damage as burned out Dresden.
I doubt that America will be in the driver's seat of picking and choosing who gets rebuilt in the next World War.
That and the cold civil war going on inside our government against an elected and seated President isn't historically a good thing.
Look on the bright side, they’re still going to nuke Detroit and New York right after they blow DC off the map.
I have always wondered how anyone could sit there and take the abuse the congress critters dished out and not bite back. Really. I would not be able to sit there and be talked to like that.
It is nice to watch them bite back, finally.
